INVITATION TO BID

Bids will be received at the City of Harrington, at the reception desk located in the main room of the Harrington City Hall, 11 S. Third St, Harrington, Washington, 99134, until March 30, 2017, at 3:00 pm.  Bids will be opened and read publicly immediately following the close of bid receipt.  No late or faxed bids will be accepted.

There will be a pre-bid conference for this project and bidders are encouraged to attend.   Bidders may visit the site to view the existing conditions.  The pre-bid conference will be held at 1:00 pm on March 27, 2017, at the Harrington City Hall, 11 S. Third St, Harrington, Washington, 99134.

The project includes full depth reclamation reconstruction of Second Street from Adams Street to SR 23/Sherlock Street.  The proposed improvements include replacement of existing sidewalk, installation of new sidewalk, curb & gutter, ADA ramps, paving, and approximately 1,300 linear feet of underground storm drainage and associated drainage structures.

Bid must be submitted on the forms provided with the Contract Documents.  A 5% bid bond will be required.  100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful contractor.  The contractor must be capable of meeting all insurance and bonding requirements.

This project is funded by the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board (TIB), and is subject to all applicable state laws and regulations.  All work performed on this project will be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates.

The City of Harrington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgment, accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest.
