Sidewalk Improvement Project

The Town of Northport is requesting bids for the construction of a sidewalk project. Bids will be received at the Town of Northport, 315 Summit Ave, PO Box 177, Northport, WA 99157, until February 22, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Bids will be opened and read publicly immediately following the close of bid receipt. No late or faxed bids will be accepted.

There will be no pre-bid conference for this project; however, bidders may visit the site to view the existing conditions.

The proposed improvements would include approximately 1,280 linear feet of new sidewalk, 420 linear feet of curb, ADA ramps, crosswalk striping and crosswalk signage. The sidewalk improvements will be on Center Ave. (SR-25), 4th St., 5th St., and South Ave. in Northport, WA.

Bid must be submitted on the forms provided with the Contract Documents. A 5% bid bond will be required. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful contractor. The contractor must be capable of meeting all insurance and bonding requirements.

This project is funded by the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board (TIB), and is subject to all applicable state laws and regulations. All work performed on this project will be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates.

The Town of Northport reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgment, accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest.
