OMWBE is hosting two interactive workshops in July and August to walk businesses through the new Personal Narrative requirement for federal DBE and ACDBE Certification. This requirement applies to businesses seeking to maintain their Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) or Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) certification, and businesses that are applying for the first time.

The eligibility requirements for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Airport Concession Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) programs changed on October 3, 2025 due to an Interim Final Rule (IFR) issued by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT). The IFR removes the presumption of social and economic disadvantages based on race and/or gender.
