Sealed bids are requested for this work.  The proposed work consists of (including all other necessary and appurtenant work) the following:  replacing the clarifier mechanisms in Primary Clarifier No. 1, Primary Clarifier No. 2, Secondary Clarifier No. 1, and Secondary Clarifier No. 2 at the Redondo Wastewater Treatment Plant in accordance with the Specifications (see Section 01 11 00 for a detailed description of the Work) and Drawings.  Only one clarifier can be taken offline at a time to complete the work.  The construction window is limited to the dry weather season from May 1 to September 30.  Special attention is called to the extreme importance of timely completion of the work due to regulatory and operational constraints that could result in assessment of penalties, fines, and cleanup costs.
