CALL FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Pullman at the Public Works Department, Attention: Bethany Johnson, 325 SE Paradise Street, Pullman, WA 99163, until 10:00 a.m. local time, on March 27, 2018 for the following:

Project: Pullman Pedestrian Signal Improvements

Contract No.: 17-07

This project consists of replacing pedestrian signals with countdown pedestrian signals at 14 traffic signals within Pullman city limits.

Bidders may obtain plans and specifications from the City of Pullman plan room, www.cityofpullmanplanroom.com. Bidders may download digital files at no cost. Printed documents are available, at bidder’s expense, by choosing the “Order” option at www.cityofpullmanplanroom.com. Bidders are encouraged to register as a plan holder at the city’s plan room. A certified check, bid bond, or cashier's check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid must accompany the proposal.

The City of Pullman, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 200d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicali­ties or irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved, make the award to best serve the interests of the City of Pullman.
