                                                                                                                                 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

                                                                                          2019 CHIP SEAL – KNOB HILL RD., KLONDIKE RD., & CLARK AVE.

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Republic, Washington, at City Hall located at 987 S. Clark Ave, Republic, WA 99166 until 1:00 p.m. on July 30, 2019 and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.

The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:

• Bituminous surface treatment of approximately 28,200 SY of roadway
• Approximately 2,710 LF of crack sealing
• Approximately 370 SY of pavement repair excavation with 160 Tons of crushed surfacing base course

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Republic.

Contract documents may be obtained from Varela and Associates, Inc., located at 601 W. The project is being funded by the Transportation Improvement Board funds 2-E-855(003)-1.
