COMMERCIAL ST. LIFT STATION PHASE 1
General Notice
City of Leavenworth (Owner) is requesting Bids for construction of the City of Leavenworth Wastewater Collection and Treatment Facility Improvement Project: Commercial St. Lift Station Phase 1.
Sealed Bids marked “Attention: City Clerk, Sealed Bid - Do Not Open” will be received by the Owner at the City Hall Reception Desk, 700 US 2, Leavenworth, WA 98826, or by US Mail at PO Box 287, Leavenworth, WA 98826, until 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 4, 2026 local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. A bid summary will be issued after opening, emailed to all bidders and posted on the website.
The Project generally consists of constructing the following improvements:
- Construction of a 1,000-gpm triplex wastewater lift station including:
- Wet well and valve vault; electrical power and controls; pumps, piping and valves; and a standby emergency generator.
- Site work including sheet pile/soldier pile shoring, cast in place concrete retaining wall, demolition of existing structure, excavation and haul, site grading, gravel surfacing and heated concrete driveway.
- Site piping including 1-inch water service, hot box, RPBA.
- Site improvements including a jib crane, fencing and gates.
- Installation of approximately 1,000 LF of 8-inch through 18-inch gravity sewer mains and manholes.
- Installation of approximately 900 LF of 10-inch and 12-inch pressure sewer mains.
- Restoration of asphalt surfacing, concrete curbing and sidewalk.

To Bid the project, Bidder shall download a full set of the BIDDING DOCUMENTS from www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs” and shall be on the Plan Holders List. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents. The City of Leavenworth, WA retains the right to reject any and all bids.

Instructions to Bidders
For other requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders and other documents that are included in the Bidding Documents.
Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials.
