ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS IFB 35-19

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Ben Franklin Transit (owner), until 2:00 p.m. on December 12th for construction and installation of an hydraulic vehicle lift system. Bid proposals will be received only at the owner’s office (1038 Columbia Park Trail, Richland, WA 99352), or via mail (1000 Columbia Park Trail, Richland, WA, 99352), at which time they will be opened, read, and tabulated publicly.  Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

 

Work to be performed includes: Removal and disposal of exiting lift, 200 gal hydraulic tank and appurtenances; removal of metal grating; concrete, existing hydraulic lines; and excavation; procurement and installation of a hydraulic vehicle lift; CDF and crushed surfacing backfill, concrete placement; concrete anchors; electrical; controls; and all other work necessary for a complete installation.

 

A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the job site on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 10:00 am.

 

Complete digital contract documents may be purchased on www.questcdn.com for $15.00, nonrefundable, under project #6571714 Addenda will be published only through the online bidding service. Bidders that do not purchase a bid set will not automatically be notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda. An informational copy of the contract documents is on file for inspection at the Ben Franklin Transit.

 

Questions regarding this project should be referred to Kyle Smith, PE, RH2 Engineering, Inc., 509.392.6490. Addenda, if necessary, will be posted no later than December 6, 2019. Questions received after 3:00 pm on December 4, 2019, will go unanswered.

 

The Ben Franklin Transit hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into, pursuant to this advertisement, minority and women's business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to the invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

 

Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of such bid proposal.  Checks shall be made payable to the Ben Franklin Transit.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Ben Franklin Transit.

 

The Ben Franklin Transit reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.

No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding 60 calendar days.
