OMWBE intends to conduct a competitive procurement to award multiple contracts to for professional services from individuals or companies with expertise in transportation construction or related industries, as well as government contracting experience in support of “The OMWBE Building Opportunities Program”. Contract awards will fall into the following contract categories.

Category 1 – Mentors
Mentors will provide one-to-one assistance, coaching, consulting, and mentorship sessions for up to two (2) small or OMWBE certified firms. These pre-selected firms have been unsuccessful in obtaining contracts or have won contracts and are seeking expert level assistance bidding on and winning government contracts in the transportation construction industry. The entire training, mentorship, and bid submission process will take six to twelve months to complete and may also be broken down into component timelines.

Category 2 – Program Administrator
The Program Administrator will provide administrative oversight to program, manage compliance, assist in placements, provide orientation and curriculum to Mentors and Protégés, monitor progress, maintain program records, approve invoices, and serve as Liaison between program participants and OMWBE.
