PUD #1 OF CLALLAM COUNTY

Deer Park Road Pumping Project

 

For Publication on 12/14/18 and 12/21/18

 

Estimate of Probable Bid Price (Not Including Sales Tax) - $1,700,000

 

General Contractors, licensed to do business in the State of Washington, are invited to submit bids for construction of three pump stations approximately 275 square feet in size each. Work includes the installation of approximately 260’ of 4” HDPE watermain, 334’ of 4” corrugated drain line, the demolition of one existing pump station, construction of three reinforced CMU pump stations, procurement and installation of associated pumps and appurtenances, located in Clallam County, Washington. The project area includes three different pump station sites extending along Deer Park Rd, South from Highway 101. All three pump stations are within 1.5 miles from each other with the farthest being approximately 5 miles South of Port Angeles.  

 

Sealed bids will be received at the Main District Office, (104 Hooker Road, Sequim, WA 98382), Attn: Karen Abbott, until 3:00 p.m. PDT on January 16, 2019. If submitting a sealed bid via express delivery (i.e. FedEx, UPS), please deliver the sealed bid to Clallam County PUD No. 1 at 100 Hooker Road Sequim, WA 98382.  At 3:30 p.m. PDT a public bid opening will take place at the District office.

 

A Pre-bid Conference and site visit will be held on January 3, 2019 at 1:30 pm in the Lake Crescent Board Room, starting at the office of Clallam County Public Utility District No. 1, 104 Hooker Road, Sequim, Washington.

 

Free-of-charge access to project bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda, and Bidders List) is  provided to Prime Bidders, Subcontractors, and Vendors by going to Builders Exchange of Washington; www.bxwa.com and clicking on "Posted Projects", "Public Works", and "Clallam County PUD". This online plan room provides Bidders with fully usable online documents with the ability to: download, view, print, order full/partial plan sets from numerous reprographic sources, and a free online digitizer/take-off tool. All interested Bidders shall “Register” in order to receive automatic e-mail notification of future addenda and to place themselves on the “Self-Registered Bidders List". Bidders that do not register will not be automatically notified of addenda and will need to periodically check the on-line plan room for addenda issued on this project. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms provided and as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw a bid submitted for a period of 60 days after the day of bid opening. Each bid shall be accompanied by a 5% bid security. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required. The District reserves the right to cancel the bid period and reject any and all bids for any reason. The District is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (small, minority- and women-owned businesses) are encouraged to submit bids. All work on the project will be subject to the higher of Davis Bacon/Prevailing Wage requirements.

 

This project is fully or partially funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Fund Program with federal funds from the U.S Environmental Protection Agency. General contractors and subcontractors must meet DWSRF requirements and provisions.
