Drinking Water Distribution Improvements
Project No. 1923P

Sealed bids for the above project will be received from Contractors by the City of Olympia at the City Hall first floor Customer Service Counter located at 601 4th Avenue E, Olympia, Washington 98501 until 10:30 AM, Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at which time the bids will be opened and read.

Contract Documents and planholder’s list can be viewed, purchased, or downloaded on the Builders Exchange website at www.bxwa.com after Monday, July 22, 2019.

Please visit our Public Records webpage (http://olympiawa.gov/city-government/public-records-requests). Public records fees apply. Please note: If you obtain project plans and specifications through any process other than through registration on Builder’s Exchange, you will NOT be added to the list of bidders who receive bid packet addenda and other information sent to those who register as bidders.

This project provides for the installation of approximately 1800 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water main on Berry Street and Jasper Avenue; 500 linear feet of 2-inch HDPE main by directional drilling on Arbutus and N. Rose Street, associated meter boxes, and reconnection to existing customer service lines. The project includes installation of a fire hydrant, half street asphalt planing and asphalt overlay, concrete driveway and sidewalk removal and replacement, and property restoration all in accordance with the Contract Documents. The Engineer’s Probable Opinion of Cost ranges from $650,000 to $750,000.

This project does not have Federal Aid funding.

The City of Olympia does not discriminate against any entity based on any status protected by law in consideration for award of a City contract.

The prime contractor on a City contract of $50,000 or more shall comply with Olympia’s Equal Benefits Ordinance, Olympia Municipal Code Chapter 3.18.

All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose, and each proposal must be accompanied by bid bond, or certified check made payable to the City of Olympia, in an amount of not less than (5) percent of the total bid amount.

The City of Olympia reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process.
