Foothills Trail – Phase II, Segment B

Johansen Construction Company (JCC) is requesting quotes from Subcontractors and Suppliers for the following project:

Project Description: This Contract provides for the extension of the Foothills Trail from SE Mud Mountain Rd.in King County to the existing Foothills Trail in the City of Buckley. Work items under this Contract are as described below 

From north to south:

1.    Approximately 400 feet of elevated surface trail with 9,300 sf of geosynthetic walls; 
2.    Approximately 3,000 CY of rock armor removal; 
3.    Extensive mitigation planting; 
4.    Construction of 3-span, 371’ bridge spanning the White River and critical areas including installation of a new bridge pier and the structural retrofit of three (3) existing bridge piers and bridge/trail transition components; 
5.    Utilization of bridge staging area 
6.    Approximately 200 feet of surface trail; 
7.    Mitigation and restorative planting” 
 
and other work, all in accordance with the attached Plans, these Special Provisions, the Standard 
Specifications, the KCRDCS, and the APWA/WSDOT Standard Plans for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction.  

The Contract Plans consist of the Foothills Trail Improvements Phase II Segment B Plans as permitted by King County DLS, Permit No. GRDE 21-0081 and City of Buckley, Permit No. LDA-21-0002.

Subcontractor/Supplier Opportunities Include (but are not limited to): clearing & grubbing, erosion control, HMA paving, structural concrete, bridge shaft construction, water handling & treatment, landscaping, hauling, signage, rebar supply & installation, fencing, bridge railing, structural steel erection, traffic control, pigmented sealer, survey, MSE Geosynthetic Walls, and shotcrete facing. As well as the supply of steel bridge structure, pipe/utilities, aggregate, disposal, and ready mix concrete. 

JCC encourages bids from all subcontractors and suppliers including King County certified Small Contractor & Supplier’s (SCS’s), for any item of work, or portion of an item, or combination thereof related to this project.
