For more than 50 years, King County and Harborview Medical Center have partnered to deliver exceptional care, no matter the need, on and off the Harborview campus. The partners seek firms to help maintain facilities for top-tier care: 

1. New Pioneer Square Clinic (relocation to Duncan Building)

  • Seeking a firm with healthcare and preservation experience to make seismic and building upgrades, and tenant improvements for Pioneer Square Clinic.
  • Services Needed – The County will solicit design and construction services, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, masonry, and structural steel.
  • Anticipated Release – Q3 2026
  • Estimated Contract Value - $20 million, up to three years

2. Work Order Multidisciplinary Architectural and Engineering Services for HCID

  • Seeking collaborative multi-disciplinary design teams for architectural and engineering services for healthcare projects, including surgical services, and off-campus clinics and areas.
  • Services Needed - Strategic planning, technical studies, design, engineering, permitting, and construction administration
  • Anticipated Release – Q3 2026
  • Estimated Contract Value – $5 million, up to three years

3. General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) for the Ninth and Jefferson Building 3T MRI Scanner

  • Seeking a GC/CM to remodel a space for the installation of a 3T MRI scanner space. The scanner provides detailed images that support neurotherapeutics for Alzheimer’s patients.
  • Services Needed - Project requires specialized shielding, structural reinforcement, and specific utilities to handle a high-field, superconducting magnet.
  • Anticipated Release – Q2 2026
  • Estimated Contract Value – $7 million
