Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. requests bids/quotes from Subcontractors, suppliers and service providers, including Small and Disadvantaged Business firms in a multitude of Heavy / Bridge Construction work disciplines in support of Kiewit’s prime contractor proposal to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for the replacement of their Bridge No. 81.4 across the Cowlitz River near Vader, Washington – Cowlitz County. Please provide scope letters at your earliest convenience prior to the bid due date to allow Kiewit to coordinate key elements of the work.

Project Description: Replace the existing 695’ long railroad bridge with a 712 foot long bridge. The new bridge will occupy the same alignment of the existing bridge, which will require lateral sliding of both old and new structures. The new bridge includes a 336’ long truss, (2) deck plate girder steel spans and (3) ballast deck concrete beam spans. Substructure includes (6) each 12 ft. diameter drilled shafts and (4) each 10.5 foot diameter drilled shafts. The scope of work includes demolition of the existing bridge
