Public notice is hereby given that the City of Shelton is inviting sealed bids for the above-named project. Sealed bids shall be received by the City until the Bid submittal deadline stated above, or as may be amended through official Addenda. Bids received after the submittal deadline will not be accepted or considered.
The project generally consists of recommissioning and upgrading the Upper Angleside Pressure Sustaining Station (PSS) and Lower Angleside Booster Pump Station (BPS), including mechanical, electrical, controls, and instrumentation improvements; construction of new water main and service line improvements within Olympic Avenue and South 16th Street; site restoration; and other related work. An additive bid item includes replacement of check valves at the Lower Angleside Booster Pump Station.
Due to peak seasonal water demands, work requiring shutdown or interruption of operations at the Lower Angleside Booster Pump Station will be subject to scheduling restrictions. The Project includes other work activities that are not affected by these restrictions. Refer to the Contract Documents for details.
The Contractor will have 180 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed to achieve Substantial Completion and an additional 30 Calendar Days to achieve Physical Completion.
A pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to be held in the First Floor Meeting Room of the Shelton Civic Center, 525 West Cota Street, Shelton, WA 98584. Prime and Subcontractors are highly encouraged to attend, but attendance is not mandatory.
Complete details of the specifications, plans, and all submittal requirements are available free of charge on the City of Shelton’s online plan room through Builder’s Exchange at www.bxwa.com or on the City Website at www.sheltonwa.gov.
Written questions regarding the project may be submitted to procurement@sheltonwa.gov. In your email subject line, reference the Project Name and ITB Number. All questions must be in the body of the email rather than in an attachment. Questions may not be considered unless they are submitted in writing, as instructed above, and received by 1:00 PM on July 16, 2026. The City will not be responsible for unsuccessful submittals of questions.
The City of Shelton, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
