MAIN AVENUE SEAL COAT & ADA RAMPS

 

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Ritzville, Washington, at City Hall located at 216 E Main Ave, Ritzville, WA 99169 until 1:00 PM. on April 23, 2021 and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.

 

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations.

To Bid the project, Bidder shall have purchased a full set of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS and shall be on the plan holders list. CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be purchased at www.varelaplanroom.com under “Public Jobs” for a nonrefundable cost of $30. The improvements for which bids will be received are generally described below:

 

This project will provide ADA ramp updates in the city’s downtown central business district, adjacent to the planned county chip seal on Main Avenue, and includes the following:

 

  • Removal and replacement of 22 ADA curb ramps with associated sidewalk, curbing, and asphalt repairs
  • Installation of approximately 35 SY of asphalt pavement
  • Approximately 500 SY of asphalt repair and 870 SY of prelevel

 

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Republic.

 

The project is being funded by the Transportation Improvement Board funds 6-E-845(008)-1.

 

The City of Ritzville is in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.
