OR229: FULLER AND OJALLA (SILETZ RIVER) BRIDGES, Corvallis, OR

F. D. Thomas, Inc. is bidding this project as prime and will self-perform surface preparation and coating (lead-based paint removal, 3-coat organic zinc system) of both 190-ft steel through-trusses. We are seeking subcontractor pricing for:

  1. Traffic Control: temporary/permanent traffic control, flagging, signage and illumination. Marine traffic may not be closed.
  2. Temporary Work Access & Containment (both bridges): engineered access, containment, heating and ventilation for truss coating, plus access and containment for bearing replacement at Bent 3 and concrete repairs at Bents 2 and 3. Containment must handle lead, chromium and cadmium paint. Structural repairs must be complete before coating containment is installed.
  3. Structural Repair & Bearing Replacement (both bridges): bridge jacking at Bent 3, bearing replacement, structural steel maintenance, concrete repair, rivet/bolt replacement, and bridge removal work.

Federal Davis-Bacon and Oregon BOLI prevailing wage rates apply. Work on lead-painted steel requires lead, chromium and cadmium awareness training.

F. D. Thomas Inc. is a union signatory contractor. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor's license, insurance coverage and worker's compensation for the entire length of the contract. All subcontractors will be required to sign our standard Subcontract Agreement, 100% payment and performance bonds may be required. Please call if you need assistance in obtaining insurance, bonding, equipment, materials and/or supplies.
