Kiewit – Manson SR 520 requests quotes from Minority, Small Business, Veteran, and Women owned business enterprises (MSVWBE) who are subcontractors, suppliers & service providers in a multitude of bridge & heavy construction work scopes/disciplines to support our prime bid to WSDOT.

SR 520 Montlake to Lake Washington I/C and Bridge Replacement Project Description, includes:

  • Replacing the West Approach Bridge with a new West Approach Bridge South (WABS)
  • Replace Montlake Blvd undercrossing with new community enhanced lid structure
  • Modifications to SR 520 & Montlake Blvd  & 24th Ave E. interchanges; On/Off-Ramps
  • Pedestrian land bridge connecting Washington Park Arboretum trails to E. Montlake Park

Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. is seeking quotes from Subcontractor and Supplier partners including Minority, Small, Veteran, and Women owned Business Enterprises (MSVWBE), as certified by Washington State’s Office of Minority and Women Business Enterprises (OMWBE). WSDOT has set an overall aspiration goal of 26% participation, including Minority owned businesses (10%); Small Businesses (5%), Veteran owned businesses (5%) and Women owned small businesses (6%).

Kiewit fully supports providing the maximum practicable opportunity to the MSVWBE business community to compete for and participate in subcontracts let by Kiewit for this project.

In order to assist certified small business subcontractors and suppliers, we will divide scopes of work into economically feasible units, and will assist firms with meeting delivery schedules, providing points of contact regarding bonding, lines of credit, and insurance; and giving information so that Small Business can secure their own sources of equipment in order to maximize Small & Disadvantaged Business participation. Kiewit requires Subcontractor Performance & Payment Bonds; Material Supply Bonds; and use of our standard contract forms.
