SUBCONTRACTOR/VENDOR BID REQUEST

 

 

Project: BT102 Burien Transit Center and Roadwork Project

 

Project Description:

1. New Bus Platform Located at the Burien Transit Center.

a. Removal of the existing bus platform, curb access ramp, shelter and station stop amenities on the on the west side of the Burien Transit Center. Work also includes removal of concrete pavement along the existing bus lanes where necessary to install the bus charging equipment. Work must be completed in an active transit facility while maintaining bus operations.

b. Construct new bus platform with 9-inch vertical curb, construct new curb access ramp and install Detectable Warning Surface.

c. Construct foundations for a new shelter, pylon, ticket vending machine and other station amenities.

d. Install underground conduit for system and electrical items on the new bus platform. This contract only includes installation of conduit and vaults/pull boxes.

e. Installation of owner furnished INDUCT EV precast coil socket and installation of conduit for future BEB charging equipment installed by others.

f. Install conduit between the new bus platform and the new transformer.

2. Addition of New Bus Only Lane along SW 148th Street/SR 518.

a. Removal of the existing median islands, curb, sidewalk as specified on the Contract Drawings.

b. Reconstruction of curb, sidewalk and driveways as specified on the Contract Drawings.

c. Full HMA pavement removal and replacement for the new bus lane and at select locations specified on the Contract Drawings.

d. HMA Grind and overlay SW 148th Street/SR 518 within the project limits.

e. Adjust catch basins and utility covers to new grade.

f. Construct new median islands and install new extruded cement concrete traffic curb.

g. Install new traffic signals at the intersections of SR 518 and

i. 1st Avenue South.

ii. SR 509 on/off ramps.

h. New pavement markings and signs.

i. Temporary Erosion and Sediment control.
