Walnut Street Reconstruction and Water Meter Replacement Project, Waterville WA

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Town of Waterville, until 11:00 a.m. on March 12, 2019 for the Walnut Street Reconstruction and Water Meter Replacement Project.  Bid proposals will be received by the Clerk at the Town of Waterville, Town Hall. 104 East Locust, and will then and there be opened, read, and tabulated publicly.  Order of magnitude is approximately $600,000. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

 

The major items of work for the Walnut Street Reconstruction and Water Meter Replacement shall include, but not be limited to the saw cutting and removal of existing HMA roadway surfacing, removal of existing concrete sidewalk, grading, installation of cement treated base, top course, HMA paving, installation of catch basins and storm piping, installation of cement concrete curb and gutter and sidewalks,  new meters and service lines and other features. All in accordance with the contract plans, the special provisions, and the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications.

Time for completion of the work is as outline in Special Provision 1-08.5 of the project documents.  The Notice to Proceed date for this project will be a mutually agreed date between the Town of Waterville and the Contractor on or before May 31, 2019.

An informational copy of the contract documents are available at the Erlandsen offices in East Wenatchee.  Copies of the contract documents may be examined at the following locations:  Wenatchee Plan Center, Yakima Plan Center or the Spokane Plan Center.

 

Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid proposal.  Checks shall be made payable to the Town of Waterville.  Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Waterville.  The Town of Waterville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding.

No bidder may withdraw his proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days.
