NOTICE TO BIDDERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of Public Utility District No. 1 of Snohomish County will receive electronic proposals for the following work:

Request for Proposal No. 21-1193-KS

PWC – WB DWSRF DWL23475 AND DWL23480 WARM BEACH WATER SYSTEM

LAKE MARTHA RESERVOIR DEMOLITION PROJECT

Bids will only be opened at a teleconference on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at 2:00 pm (Local Time). Bids received after this time will not be considered. The bid opening is public, and all bids will be read aloud. Each bid must be accompanied by proof of bid security which guarantees the amount of 5 percent (5%) of the total amount bid, excluding tax.

This project provides all labor, equipment, tools, goods, material and incidentals necessary for the demolition of two concrete water reservoirs approximately 55,000 gallons each, including foundations, associated piping, valves and other appurtenances, fencing, capping of an existing water main, associated roadway shoulder restoration, erosion control and landscape/surface restoration. The primary purpose of the proposed project is to remove obsolete and non-functional water system infrastructure. Construction shall be performed while maintaining service to the existing water system. The location of the work is near 18906 84th Dr. NW, Stanwood, in Snohomish County, Washington.

There will be an optional pre-bid meeting on Monday, August 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the site of work; 18906 84th Dr. NW, Stanwood, WA 98292.

This project is funded through the Washington State Drinking Water State Revolving Loan program with federal funds from the Environmental Protection Agency. All work performed on the project will be subject to Davis-Bacon/Prevailing Wage requirements and will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates.

All Drinking Water State Revolving Fund requirements or provisions must be met by general contractors and all subcontractors. All contractors are required to be licensed to conduct business in Washington State.

The District retains the right to reject any and all bids.
