CITY OF KAHLOTUS - WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

City of Kahlotus, Washington, invites Bids for the construction of Water Main Improvements Project. The Work for this Contract involves construction of approximately 3,700 feet of 8-inch water line and 100 feet of 6-inch water line, water service connections, fire hydrants, valves, connections to existing water lines, surface restoration, and alternative work, together with all other Work.

Sealed Bids for the described Project will be received by the City of Kahlotus, at City Hall, 130 East Weston Street, Kahlotus, Washington 99335, until 10:00 a.m., local time, July 24, 2018, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The work shall be substantially complete within 65 calendar days. All paving shall be completed by October 31, 2018. The completion date of all work and readiness for final payment shall be November 19, 2018.

This Project is being funded by a federal grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Washington State Community Development Block Grant Program. Because the project is being paid for by federal funds, all work will be subject to all federal and state requirements relating to the use of such funds, including the Davis Bacon Wage Rates or Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates for Public Works Projects, EEO, Washington State Contracting Laws, etc.  All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the state or federal wage rates.

Bid security is required and shall be furnished in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders.
