ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

WELL #4 PUMP STATION

 

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Pateros, Washington, at City Hall located at 113 Lakeshore Drive, Pateros, WA 98846 until 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 7, 2019 and will then and there be opened and publicly read aloud.

 

This is a re-bid of an advertisement for bids originally opened and read on January 31, 2019. The City rejected all bids from the January 31, 2019 bidding. All prospective bidders shall submit full, new, complete bids in compliance with revised and newly published Contract Documents. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in these Contract Documents.

IN ORDER TO SUBMIT A BID, ALL BIDDERS MUST HAVE

  1. PURCHASED A SET OF REVISED AND NEWLY PUBLISHED CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FROM VARELA & ASSOCIATES

AND

  1. BIDDERS WILL HAVE BEEN PLACED ON A NEW PLANHOLDER’S LIST AT THE VARELA & ASSOCIATES WEBSITE.

 

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:

           

  1. City Hall, City of Pateros, 113 Lakeshore Drive, Pateros, WA 98846
  2. Varela & Associates, Inc., 601 W. Mallon Ave. Suite A, Spokane, WA 99201 (509) 328-6066
  3. Various plan centers - call Varela & Associates or visit www.varela-engr.com for list.

 

The work generally consists of:

  • 24’x20’ wood framed building with metal roof
  • 75 HP line shaft vertical turbine well pump with 1,000 gpm capacity
  • Site work
  • Landscaping
  • Site piping and pump station piping
  • Electrical, VFD and related controls
  • Emergency generator
  • Pumping system startup and testing
  • Approximately 675 SY of cement concrete sidewalk
  • Approximately 2,400 SY of HMA paving
  • Other related items

 

The project is located within the City of Pateros city limits, properties and rights-of-way.

 

Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. Bid bonds in an amount not less than 5% of the amount bid are to be made payable to the City of Pateros. 100% performance and payment bonds will be required from the successful bidder.

 

All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing state or federal wage rates. The City of Pateros is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. Small, Minority- and Women-owned firms are encouraged to submit bids.

 

This project is partially funded through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, by Washington State Legislative Direct Appropriations, a loan from the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development program and a Hazard Mitigation grant from the Washington State Military Department.

 

The City of Pateros reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities, and in its sole judgement, accept the bid which it deems is in its best interest. Additional bid acceptance and contract award provisions are specified in the Contract Documents.
