NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Yakima, 129 North 2nd Street, Yakima, Washington, 98901 until 2:00 pm on August 7, 2025 and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of

E Nob Hill Blvd and Fair Ave Intersection Improvements

 

Federal Aid No. STPUS-4566(007)

City of Yakima Project No. 2143

 

This Contract provides for the re-construction and widening of the E Nob Hill Boulevard and S Fair Avenue intersection. Work shall consist of roadway excavation, storm drainage conveyance system, base course, HMA paving, curb and gutter, sidewalk, curb ramps, crosswalks, installing a traffic signal system with illumination, signing, channelization, and other work, all to be constructed in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.

 

This Contract has one hundred (100) working days to complete the work.

An optional paper set of project plans and specifications may be obtained at the Office of the City Engineer located at 129 North 2nd Street (509-575-6111), upon payment in the amount of $75.00 for each set, non-refundable. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by bond or certified check, payable to the order of the Treasurer of the City of Yakima, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of said bid proposal. No bid proposal will be considered unless accompanied by such deposit, to be forfeited to the City of Yakima in the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into a Contract with the City for the making and construction of the aforesaid improvements. All bid proposals shall be in writing on the form bound in the Specifications, sealed and filed with the City Clerk’s office on or before the day and hour above mentioned.

 

The City of Yakima, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.

 

The City of Yakima reserves the right to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City, to postpone the acceptance of bids and the award of the Contract for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days, or to reject any and all bids received. Subject to the foregoing, the bid may be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. When awarded the Contract, the successful bidder shall promptly execute the Contract and shall furnish a bond of faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the Contract price.

Bidders shall submit questions no later than 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025. Questions or comments will not be acknowledged after this time and date.
