Electrical Engineering Computer Science Building

Western Washing University and Mortenson as the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) will be requesting bids for the Electrical Engineering Computer Science Building on the Western campus in Bellingham, WA. The new facility is a carbon-neutral, 54,000-SF Mass Timber Structure that is connected to the existing Communications Facility. This project will be the first net-zero building on a university campus in Washington state. The new facility will consist primarily of teaching labs, learning research labs and active learning classrooms as well as some academic administrative and collaborative spaces.
