The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma will receive bids for Point Defiance Owen Beach
Access Improvements Project J2022-05 on March 9th, 2022 at 10:00am at Headquarters
Building located at 4702 S. 19th St., Tacoma, WA 98405. Bids received after the appointed
time set for receipt will be considered non-responsive. All work completed for the Metropolitan
Park District will be considered a public works project with prevailing wage documentation
required.

Scope of Work: Metro Parks Tacoma is seeking a qualified vendor to provide shotcrete that
will provide safer, more appropriate human access to the Arctic Fox exhibit as well as
update the exhibit to provide for more appropriate shade and containment through
artistic shotcrete instead of the dated block wall. Cameras will be installed in the fox den
to provide viewing for visitors and staff when the fox is off exhibit
