Whatcom Co; Bid #24-45 Truck Road Bank Stabilizaton Phase 2

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Whatcom County Administrative Services Finance/Purchasing at their office on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for purchase and installation of the following:

Truck Road Bank Stabilization Phase 2

UNTIL: 2:30 PM Tuesday, April 16, 2024

At which time and place the bids will be publicly opened (live/virtual via Zoom), and read aloud. All bidders and any other interested persons are invited to be present at the live bid opening via Zoom. Late submittals will not be considered.

Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District (WCFCZD) requests bids for the Truck Road Bank Stabilization Phase 2, No. 720008, FEMA #157815 for Event 4539DR-WA, project. This project provides installation of engineered large wood structures, riverbank erosion control, roadway grading and paving, guardrail, environmental mitigation, and other work located along Truck Rd near Deming, WA, as further described in the bid documents.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 9, 2024, onsite near 5936 Truck Road, Deming, Washington (Parcel No. 390533290509).

Award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder. WCFCZD reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities.

The WCFCZD in conjunction with Whatcom County, herein after referred to jointly as ‘Whatcom County’, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, (42 U.S.C. 2000d et seq.) and Title 2 Code of Federal Regulations Part 200.321(b)(1)-(5), hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, small and minority businesses, women’s business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms as defined at 2 CFR, will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.

As required by law, the E-Verify System may be required.
