Civic Engagement as Business Leaders - Lacey

Wisdom & Chocolate

It’s easy for those in business to think of “government“ as an entirely separate world, perhaps one that should be avoided. But policy engagement by business leaders is essential for a well-functioning democracy and to ensure that decision-makers know the full impacts of policies they are considering. Renee Radcliff Sinclair will address the value of engagement, how to communicate constructively across the public sector/private sector divide, and describe how, and inspire us to, participate in positive ways.

Renee Radcliff Sinclair is President and CEO of TVW, Washington’s public affairs media network. TVW provides coverage of the Washington State government and public policy events and produces a variety of programs and documentaries. Renee’s professional history includes 14 years as a journalist, policy leadership roles with the American Electronics Association, U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Apple, and four terms in the WA House of Representatives.
