Project: Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) Sawara
ABOUT SAWARA
Sawara is a 114-unit apartment building consisting of studios, 1, 2, 3 and one 4-bedroom apartments. The building will include 3 community spaces, common areas of a library, large lobby, large courtyard, secure bicycle parking on level 2, and an adjacent community pocket park to the north. The building is participating in the Seattle Exemplary building guidelines for reduced energy usage for apartment units using all electric for domestic water heating and other building uses. The building will also incorporate additional insulation in exterior walls and at the roof levels including solar panels on the roof. With the building situated with a view to the west above the freeway it will be a focal point along the Yesler corridor.
