Puget Sound Gateway Program - Voluntary Proposers Meeting
The purpose of this voluntary proposers meeting is to provide information about opportunities for partnership on the project, share updated information about the project’s procurement process, and create opportunities for interested parties to network with shortlisted prime contractors.
The Washington State Department of Transportation is continuing the progressive design-build contract procurement process for the SR 167, I-5 to SR 161–New Expressway (Stage 2b) project. WSDOT will hold an informational voluntary proposers meeting for interested contractors and consultants about the project’s Request for Proposals on Tuesday, Jan. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the Emerald Queen Casino Conference Center 5580 Pacific Hwy. E., Fife, WA, 98424.
The Stage 2b project will be the fourth and final construction stage for the SR 167 Completion Project. Through the Stage 2b project, WSDOT will build SR 167 between the Puyallup Recreation Center and I-5, complete the diverging diamond interchange (DDI) at I-5, build eight new bridges, a new half-interchange at Valley Avenue, complete the DDI at SR 161/North Meridian, build the rest of the spuyaləpabš Trail that is within WSDOT right of way, weigh-in-motion and weigh station inspection facility, tolling infrastructure, and perform 90 acres of wetland mitigation and restoration.
