Puget Sound Gateway Program Voluntary Submitters Meeting

The purpose of this voluntary submitters meeting is to present the scope of work in more detail, to describe the design-build procurement process and schedule, and to provide networking opportunities for interested primes and subcontractors.

The Washington State Department of Transportation is beginning the design-build contract procurement process for the SR 167, SR 161 to SR 410-Rebuild Interchange project.

WSDOT will hold an informational voluntary submitters meeting for interested contractors and consultants about the project’s Request for Qualifications from 1:30 to 3:30 pm, Thursday, Sept. 21, at the Fife Community Center at 2111 54th Ave. East, Fife, WA, 98424.

The SR 167, SR 161 to SR 410–Rebuild Interchange project is the third designbuild contract to be issued for the SR 167 Completion Project. Through the SR 167, SR 161 to SR 410 project, WSDOT will construct a new interchange at N Meridian Avenue, widen SR 167 between SR 161 and SR 410, improve local roadways, build bridges and a shared use path, and improve traffic systems in Puyallup, Sumner, and portions of unincorporated Pierce County.

The SR 167 Completion Project will complete a crucial part of our state’s transportation network, creating vital links between I-5, SR 167, SR 509, the Port of Tacoma and the manufacturing and industrial areas in Pierce County.
