Skyway Resource Center Bidder’s Conference

Skyway Resource Center project team (Renton Innovation Zone Partnership, King County Housing Authority, Schemata Workshop) will be hosting a pre-bid conference with interested contractors and subcontractors to provide general information about the Skyway Resource Center redevelopment project.

The event will be held at the project site and details are below:

  • Date/Time:  March 28th (Tuesday), 4pm-5pm
  • Location: 12610 76th Ave S, Seattle, WA 98178

This is a general information session prior to the bidding process to gauge interests from contractors and subcontractors. We will review our project’s mission, targeted timeline, preliminary scope of work, WMBE goals, and Public Works process with King County Housing Authority. We especially welcome those who have no prior experience working on Public Works projects with King County Housing Authority.

Project Summary: The Skyway Resource Center project is a full renovation of an existing former US Bank branch office building into a community multi-resource center. The building was originally built in the 1960’s and the project will bring the building up to current codes and standards to create a comfortable and efficient community hub in the center of Skyway neighborhood. Work includes, but is not limited to: building envelope improvements, upgrading of all major building systems, asbestos abatement, replacement of all interior fixtures and finishes, minimal site and utility work, and more.
