Third Annual Women's Wednesday for Small Business

Women business owners will learn about opportunities ranging from capacity building resources for small businesses, access to capital, best practices, and upcoming contracting opportunities, including Bipartisan Infrastructure Law-related projects. Additionally, the event will provide a dialogue between transportation agencies, small businesses, and prime contractors.

Matchmaking sessions for small businesses and disadvantaged business enterprises will be available as one-on-one meetings with federal and state contracting officers, prime contractors, and DOT contracting officers. We also seek to include DOT's procurement specialists, grant administrators, technical assistance specialists at the federal, state, and local levels, financial resources, prime contractors, and other stakeholders where businesses will be matched.

Additionally, the targeted outreach would provide industry networking and matchmaking with prime contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers through our new Connections Marketplace platform. Although we place an emphasis on the utilization of the Woman-Owned Small Business program in the Department’s procurement opportunities, this event is open to all socioeconomic groups.
