Executive Order 22-01
On January 7th, 2022, Governor Inslee signed Executive Order 22-01 for Equity in Public Contracting.
This executive order takes years of work by the Governor's Subcabinet on Business Diversity and turns it into actionable processes that state agencies can use to meet their diversity goals. The end result will allow minority-, women-, and veteran-owned businesses to access more government contracting opportunities with the State of Washington. Executive Cabinet and Small Cabinet agencies are required to work with OMWBE to implement EO 22-01, starting with adoption of the Tools for Equity in Public Spending.
