148th Avenue NE Safety Corridor Project

The City of Redmond is soliciting interest from consulting firms under this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for design services for the 148th Ave NE Safety Corridor Project. The successful consultant/team will prepare design report, permits, plans, specifications, and estimates.

148th Avenue NE is an arterial connecting the Overlake neighborhood to Willows Road. The City has received Highway Safety Improvement Program funding to design and construct the 148th Avenue NE Safety Corridor Project, as described in the City’s adopted Local Road Safety Plan. The limits of the project are from SR520 to Willows Road. Primary elements of the project include rectangular rapid flashing beacons, marked crosswalks, leading pedestrian intervals, turn lane reconfigurations, access control, and a new pedestrian signal at NE 31st Street.
