The proposed work consists of (including all other necessary and appurtenant work) the removing and disposing of asbestos cement and ductile iron pipe water mains; installing 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch diameter ductile iron water main; removing valves and installing gate valves; removing and replacing service lines; removing and replacing fire hydrants; permitting; construction survey and staking; material testing; project temporary traffic control; temporary water service and construction sequencing; temporary water pollution and erosion prevention; utility potholing; removing and replacing road pavement; restoring the site; and other related work.
