2025-2027 Commercial STEP Pumping, Cleaning & Inspection Services RFP

The City of Olympia is soliciting bids from qualified, licensed Contractors with experience in pumping, cleaning, and inspecting Septic Tank Effluent Pumping (STEP) Systems for City owned or leased facilities throughout the City of Olympia pursuant to RCW 35.22.620(11). The services and tasks performed shall include the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, services, tasks, and incidental and customary work necessary to competently perform the services described in the scope of work.

The RFP document can be viewed on Builders Exchange of Washington’s website at www.bxwa.com by the end of business on Monday, June 2, 2025. Any questions regarding the project can be directed to David Dunn, PE, Project Engineer II, via email at ddunn@ci.olympia.wa.us. Questions via telephone will not be accepted. If necessary, questions will be answered via an addendum.

The deadline for submission of bid packages is Wednesday, June 18, 2025 by 5:00 p.m. All contractors must respond to the entire scope of work defined in the RFP. Responses that address less than the entire scope of work may be deemed non-responsive. Earlier responses are welcome, although all addenda must be acknowledged as a part of the bid package or will be disqualified. All bids must be submitted on the forms furnished for that purpose. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. The City of Olympia reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the bidding process.

Please note: If you obtain the RFP through any other process, such as by public records request, you will NOT be added to the list of proposers/bidders and therefore, you will not receive bid addenda and other information sent to those who actually register as proposers/bidders.
