2025 ADA Ramp Replacement Project – East Side of City

 

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the City of Harrington until 11:00 AM on June 26, 2025, at which time bids will be opened and publicly read aloud.

Bid proposals may be sent by mail, or hand delivered, to the City Clerk at the City of Harrington, City Hall, 1 North 3rd Street, PO Box 492, Harrington, WA 99134, prior to the opening. The envelope shall be plainly marked with “SEALED BID for the City of Harrington – 2025 ADA Ramp Replacement Project – East Side of City” and shall clearly indicate the name and address of the bidder. The bid opening will take place at the City of Harrington, City Hall, 1 North 3rd Street, Harrington, WA 99134. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered.

Brief Description of Work:

This Contract provides for the removal and replacement of various ADA ramps located in Harrington, Washington.  This project will remove and replace 22 ADA ramps. Specifically this Contract consists of construction of approximately 330 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 325 linear feet of curb and gutter, 36 linear feet of pedestrian curb, 110 linear feet of traffic curb, 75 cubic yards of crushed surfacing top course, 235 square yards of HMA paving at 3-inches thick, 312 square feet of painted crosswalk, 475 linear feet of paint stripe, and other miscellaneous items and work.

Estimated Cost of Project : $225,000 to $275,000

Bids must be completed on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the BID PROPOSAL.  The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities, minor defects, or to reject any or all bids.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in the amount equal to five (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the same time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Harrington.

Availability of Bidding Documents:

Bidders may obtain project documents at the TD&H Engineering online plan room at www.tdhplanroom.com.  Bidders may download digital documents at no cost and obtain printed documents, at Bidders Expense, by choosing the “Order” option. Posted on this plan room under the “Plan Holders” tab is an official list of locations where documents may be examined. Any questions regarding this plan room, shall be directed to plan room administration at 509-624-2985 or print@standardprintworks.com. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents:  TD&H Engineering, 303 E. 2nd Avenue, Spokane, WA 99202. Prospective bidders shall make all requests for clarifications to Steven Marsh, PE, TD&H Engineering, in writing to steven.marsh@tdhengineering.com.  No verbal clarifications will be made.

All work performed on this project will be subject to the state prevailing wage rates.
