Description: The project includes the following work: The UW ADA Parking Improvement project is an ongoing initiative to provide accessible parking (compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements) at key locations on campus in response to a Consent Decree imposed on the University of Washington. Phase 3.1 includes improvements at the following parking lots: E08, E16, E97, C15 and C17. Scope includes but is not limited to selective site demolition, pavement removal, regrading, asphalt and concrete paving, stripping, signage installation, drainage upgrades, landscaping and irrigation improvements. The work also includes spot grinding and patching at C17A at a limited area above existing below-grade structure for which an allowance will be provided. All work will be verified by a third-party testing agency under contract with UW, and an additional testing agency under contract with Plaintiff. Substantial completion will be met when work is verified for compliance by Owner’s independent testing agency, and an independent testing agency under contract with Plaintiff, as required by the Consent Decree.
Pre-Bid Site Meeting: The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 2:00pm on March 12, 2024. The meeting place will be at Lot E08 and the route will be E08, E97, C15, C17 and E16. Latecomers that arrive more than 15 minutes late may not be accommodated. Due to the distance between sites, please anticipate a combination of walking or cycling/driving and note that parking on campus is very limited.
A second option for pre-bid site meeting and walk-through will be held at 9:30am on March 14, 2024. Meeting place instructions are the same as above.
