CITY OF SEATTLE NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR
RFQ 24-031QP-SDOT On-Call Land surveying services
The City of Seattle, through its Department of Transportation (SDOT) solicits interest from qualified consulting firms with expertise in land surveying services.
Project Description: The City of Seattle, through its Department of Transportation, SDOT, requests Statements of Qualifications with the goal of retaining up to five consultant teams who can be available on an on-call basis to provide as-needed land surveying services for SDOT. No specific projects have been identified. Rather, individual scopes of work will be determined by the City based on planning, priority and budget and negotiated with the consultant as funding becomes available. Those individual scopes of work are issued in a Work Assignment against the on-call contract. Each Work Assignment will clearly outline the Consultant’s services, fee and schedule for completion as negotiated with the assigned City project manager.
SDOT anticipates being tasked with the delivery of a new transportation levy with aggressive goals to construct pedestrian, bicycle, transit, roadway structure, traffic operations, and roadway improvements over the next eight years. To support the preparation of design and bid documents, SDOT is seeking to procure on-call contracts for land surveying services.
The City anticipates possibly awarding up to five negotiated hourly contracts for an initial contract amount of $400,000 each and duration of 3 years. The initial contract value and duration may be increased in varying contract dollar amounts and extended to no more than a total term of 5-years. The services will be performed in a series of Work Authorizations. The scope, schedule, and budget for these Work Authorizations will vary. There is no minimum guarantee of work under this solicitation.
Consultants will be evaluated and ranked on qualifications of key personnel, firm experience, ability to meet schedule, approach to work, past performance, and WMBE Inclusion Plan.
Consultants must register with a free account at OpenGov, SDOT’s Procurement Portal (Procurement Portal (opengov.com)), to access solicitation documents, meeting links, and submit their response. An optional virtual pre-submittal meeting is scheduled for September 25, 2024 at 11:30 AM. Electronic Submittals must be uploaded to OpenGov by October 9, 2024 at 4PM.
