In coordination with our partners at the City of Tacoma and the OnePierce Resiliency Fund we are pleased to release a Request for Interest (RFI) in local affordable housing funding. The purpose of the RFI is to generate a list of proposed affordable housing projects that will inform both the City of Tacoma and Pierce County in planning their 1406 affordable housing sales tax funds.

We understand the limitations on staff capacity during the COVID crisis. Unlike our normal NOFA process the response to this RFI only requires submission of a cover sheet and a five page excel workbook that asks only the basic information on the project. The excel workbook is the same version used by the State Housing Trust Fund for their Stage 1 application.

Affordable housing will be even more important in post-COVID-19 Pierce County. Local funding is critical to address the affordable housing challenges ahead.
