African American Studies Facilitation

The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is initiating this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit proposals from consultants interested in participating on a project to facilitate statewide coordination towards multicultural, culturally responsive, and anti-racist education with a focus on African American Studies through June 30, 2023. The Contractor’s African American Studies work shall include the convening and facilitation of community stakeholders, development of an African American Studies definition and framework, development of a content alignment plan, and curation of professional development opportunities.

All communications concerning this RFQ must be directed only to the RFQ Coordinator via email: contracts@k12.wa.us. Any other communication will be considered unofficial and non-binding on OSPI. Consultants are to rely on written statements issued by the RFQ Coordinator. Communication directed to parties other than the RFQ Coordinator may result in disqualification of the Consultant.

This RFQ is available at the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) website and at the Department of Enterprise Services, Washington Electronic Business Solution (WEBS) Procurement website. All RFQ amendments and/or Consultant questions and OSPI answers will be posted to these sites. All interested Consultants must be registered with WEBS under the following commodity codes in order to receive automatic notifications: 924-05: Educational Advisory Services; 924-16: Course Development Services; 924-18: Alternative Educational Services; 924-19: Educational Research Services
