NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:
The work will include, but not be limited to, removal of one tree, installation of conduit and wiring for new camera electrical services, installation of new pole for camera, installation of new sections of chain link fence, installation of new sensors and motor for sliding vehicle gate, installation of new pedestrian gate, installation of card readers, restoration of disturbed landscaping, replacement of concrete curbs, replacement of wheel stops, installation of barrier free parking signage, installation of new asphalt patches and sealcoating of existing asphalt surface, striping asphalt surface, and coordination with a separate contractor for the installation of several security system items (cameras, card readers, etc). The cost range is $425,000 to $500,000.
Sealed Bids will be received by Seattle Public Schools (“SPS” or “Owner”) through and including 2:00 p.m. on May 20, 2025 at the Seattle Public Schools’ John Stanford Center, Contracting Services Section, 2445 Third Avenue South, Seattle, WA 98134 for Franklin High School Parking Lot Improvements. Shortly after 2:00 p.m. bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after the day and hour stated above will not receive consideration. Owner reserves the right to postpone the Bid opening.
The Project site is available for inspection by prospective bidders at a pre-bid site meeting and walk-through at 11:00 am on May 5, 2025 at Franklin High School Parking Lot, 3117 Wetmore Avenue S, Seattle, WA 98144. A surety company bid bond on a form acceptable to Owner, a cashier’s check or a certified check payable to the order of Seattle Public Schools shall accompany each bid in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received.
No bidder may withdraw its bid after the hour set for the opening thereof, unless the award of the contract is delayed for a period exceeding ninety (90) days.

2. Reprographic Outlet
General contractors may pick up a maximum of two complete sets of Bidding Documents, and mechanical and electrical subcontractors may obtain one complete set of the Bidding Documents for a refundable deposit of $150.00 per set, by business or cashier’s check only, made payable to Seattle Public Schools at the office of:

between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Said deposit will be fully refunded upon the return of complete, unmarked and non-mutilated Bidding Documents to ARC Document Solutions within
30 days after the Bid Opening date.
At the bidder’s option, Bidding Documents will be mailed upon receipt of both a deposit check and a nonrefundable shipping fee by the reprographic firm for each set of bid documents ordered. Individual sheets can be ordered for the cost of printing from the reprographic outlet. Bidders who pick up Bidding Documents from the reprographic outlet will be issued all project addenda.
