Beyond The Borders Special Needs Transportation Program, Tacoma WA

BEYOND THE BORDERS SPECIAL NEEDS TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM

 

Pierce County Human Services is soliciting proposals from special needs transportation providers for the delivery of the Beyond the Borders transportation program. Beyond the Borders serves individuals with special transportation needs who live outside of the Pierce Transit service area: seniors sixty-five (65) or older, individuals with disabilities, low-income people, and youth between the ages of twelve (12) and seventeen (17). Beyond the Borders is funded with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities program, the Older Americans’ Act (OAA) Title III-B funds and/or other state and local funds. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) contractors are encouraged to submit proposals and consider DBE subcontractors. Contractors shall not be discriminated against on grounds of sex, race, color, age, religion, national origin, disability, or other protected classes.

 

The Department will hold one application workshop on Tuesday, April 2nd at 1:00 PM to answer questions about the RFP. The workshop will be held at the Human Services office located at 3602 Pacific Ave, Tacoma in Conference Room 1.

 

The RFP will be posted and available online on Friday, March 22, 2019 at https://www.piercecountywa.org/2779/Solicitations-and-Competitive-Bids.
