This project makes improvements to I-5 between Center Drive and Gravelly Lake Drive.  It will provide a fourth general purpose lane and auxiliary lanes both directions of I-5 through various stretches within the project limits, and will feature new interchanges at Thorne Lane and Berkeley Street.

Services and supplies being solicited include: aggregate; concrete curb , gutter, sidewalk and slope protection; drainage pipe; erosion and sediment control geotextiles; elastomeric bearing pads; expansion joints; equipment rental; fence; guardrail; guide posts; girders; haul (truck); hot mix asphalt paving; landscape; MSE walls; pavement markings; permanent signs; precast concrete drainage structures; ready-mix concrete; rebar; single slope concrete barrier; street sweeping; survey; tire wash; traffic control; storm water treatment; vacuum truck.

In order to assist certified Minority, Small, Veterans and Women Business Enterprise Contractors and Suppliers, we will divide items of work into smaller tasks or quantities and establish delivery and construction schedules which will permit maximum participation of disadvantaged businesses where feasible.

The Design-Builder in accordance to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat.252, 42 U.S. Code 2000d to 2000d-4, and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 21, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color national origin and sex in consideration for an award.
