SUNNYSIDE PUMP STATION & WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT

CITY OF POMEROY

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Pomeroy in an envelope clearly marked “SUNNYSIDE PUMP STATION & WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT,” until 10:00 a.m. local time on June 20th, 2018 at the Pomeroy City Hall located at 80 7th Street; Pomeroy, Washington for the following work:

SUNNYSIDE PUMP STATION & WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT

In general, the project includes a new packaged booster pump station and electrical service, site grading, new 6-inch water main, water services and connections, gravel surfacing, fencing, abandonment of existing 4-inch water main, and demolition of existing pump station building.

Bids will be opened publicly at the Pomeroy City Hall at 10:00 a.m. local time on June 20th, 2018 and read aloud. Bids received after the aforementioned time will not be considered.

A pre-bid construction meeting will be held on June 12th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Pomeroy City Shop (When traveling west bound on Highway 12 (from Lewiston) take a left on to 18th Street then a left onto Columbia Street. The City shop is located on the left hand side.)

Bid Documents may be obtained by Prime Bidders for a $30.00 non-refundable fee per copy from TD&H Engineering, Inc.; 210 Main Street; Lewiston, ID 83501; (208) 746-0938. Bid Documents are available for review at the following locations:

All work must be completed within 50 working days from the notice to proceed. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000.00 per day.

A current Public Works Contractor’s License for the State of Washington is required to bid on this work. All bids shall be submitted in accordance with the project bidding and contract requirements and shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 5% of the total amount of the base bid. Bid Bond shall be in the form of Cash, Cashier’s Check, Certified Check or Bidder’s Bond executed by a qualified surety company, any of which shall be made payable to the City of Pomeroy.

In order to be considered an “or equal” manufacturer for major equipment, proposed manufacturers shall submit and receive approval no less than 15 days prior to the bid date.

All work performed on the project will be subject to the higher of prevailing state or federal Davis-Bacon wage rates. This project is funded by a federal grant through the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The City of Pomeroy may, by resolution, reject any and all bids and make further calls for bids in the same manner as the original call. The City also reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids received. Award of the Contract will be made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.

No bidder may withdraw his bid after the hour set forth for the opening thereof, unless the award of Contract is delayed more than thirty (30) days.
