NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Kitsap Transit (KT) at Kitsap Transit’s Main Administration Office, Reception desk NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. November 20, 2019 and must be addressed as:

BIKE BARN CONSTRUCTION IFB KT #19-656

The Contract provides for improvements to bring the Bike Barn up to the latest ADA standards, provide better safety including replacement/refinishing the floor, updating interior and exterior finishes, providing proper lighting, installing benches, fence repair, replacing all fabric awnings with engineered canopies, removal of all interior bike racks and lockers and replacement with new bicycle racks, system, and lockers to increase capacity and accommodate various modes of transportation at various heights, new equipment fix-it station and cable installation.  All work to be completed within 90 Calendar Days of the Notice to Proceed.     

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and site visit is scheduled for 10:00 AM on October 30, 2019.

Kitsap Transit in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award.
