WELL 4 IMPROVEMENTS
ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE $300,000 to $350,000
Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the City of George, 102 Richmond Avenue, George, Washington 98824, up to 11:00 AM local time on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and guarantees thereof to construct Well 4 Improvements.
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the Well 4 Improvements. Work shall include, but not be limited to, the following: taking preconstruction and postconstruction site photos; performing site preparation needed to perform the work; conducting well video surveys; clearing Well 4 of a partial blockage and accumulated sediment (rehabilitation); installation of a well liner for borehole stability; management and disposal of all waste products; demolition of existing submersible well pump, pitless adapter, site piping, and miscellaneous other appurtenances and equipment; construction of improvements to include a new pitless adapter, submersible well pump with associated appurtenances and electrical equipment, site piping, electrical room HVAC, and chlorination system modifications; filing all required construction documentation with the Department of Ecology.
The Contractor shall coordinate work with the Engineer throughout the project. Well video inspections shall be used while work associated with well rehabilitation and liner installation is being performed, in order to evaluate borehole condition and allow coordination between the Contractor and Engineer in the rehabilitation efforts required.
The Work shall be substantially complete within 60 working days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. All bidding and construction is to be performed in compliance with the Contract Provisions and Contract Plans for this project and any addenda issued thereto that are on file at the office of the City of George, City Hall, George, Washington.
The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Bid Documents. All Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, postal money order, cashiers check, or Proposal bond payable to the “City of George” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total Proposal amount.

Financing of the Project has been provided by City of George, Washington and the Washington State Community Development Block Grant program with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the prevailing federal or state wage rates. The City of George expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Proposal. Build America, Buy America (BABA) provisions apply for iron and steel products.
