CDBG-DR Resiliency Planning NOFO
The Washington Department of Commerce, hereafter called "COMMERCE,” is initiating this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit Proposals from those qualified and interested in participating in planning activities to identify feasible measures to increase the resilience of communities in Whatcom County against future flooding of the Nooksack River in Whatcom County, such as the flooding resulting from the atmospheric river event in November 2021. This project is federally funded through the Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Resiliency Planning program.
Any entity awarded grant funding as a result of this NOFO will be considered COMMERCE’s subrecipient per 2 CFR 200.331.

COMMERCE intends to award one or more than one contract(s) to provide the services described in this NOFO.
A pre-proposal conference will be held on February 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM, Pacific time. The pre-proposal conference will be virtual only, on a platform such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Email the NOFO Coordinator to receive the meeting link. All prospective Proposers are encouraged attend; however, attendance is not mandatory.
