BID NOTICE
The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma will receive sealed bids for Bid# J2019-15, Center at Norpoint Re-Roof, at the office of Planning, Design & Development, 4702 S 19th Street, Tacoma WA 98405 until 2:00 p.m., August 28, 2019. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 2:05 p.m.
Bids received after the appointed time set for receipt will be returned unopened.
This project includes the construction of a new roof system at the Center at Norpoint. It is anticipated that the work under this project will be approached in phases, acknowledging the possibility of suspended work due to inclement weather. Work to occur under Phase 1 shall be completed within 30 calendar days, with work to occur under Phase 2 completed within 90 calendar days of commencement of work under this Phase.
The base bid estimate range is $625,000 - $675,000. This will be a phased project, with a time of completion of 30 calendar days for Phase 1, and 90 calendar days for Phase 2.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Center at Norpoint, 4818 Nassau Ave NE, Tacoma WA 98422 on Tuesday August 20, 2019 at 10:30 AM. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to the pre-bid conference.
Minority & Women Owned Enterprises (MWBE) participation will apply.
Metro Parks Tacoma encourages an MWBE goal of eight percent (8%) on a Public Works PROJECT ESTIMATED AT $20,000.00 OR MORE, including Subcontractors. The Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE) certifies firms that are owned and controlled by minorities or women, and can provide information regarding the certification process.
